HOW IT WORKS
From a real route to your living room.
01Pick a real routeChoose from routes prepared from real GPS rides: singletrack, fire road, mountain passes, coast highways.
02Connect, or just look aroundPair a supported smart trainer and the climbing sets your resistance. No trainer? Demo mode lets you explore the scenery.
03Ride itThe route’s real gradient shapes your effort through a 3D world built to feel like that place.
Road riders, you’re in too.Half the beta roster is road: switchback climbs, coast highways, canyon paths. Same idea as the dirt routes. A real road, its real gradient, a place you’d actually want to be.
What it isn’t.It’s not a survey-grade replica, and a stationary trainer can’t reproduce outdoor line choice, braking or traction. The climbing and the place are real; the handling is a trainer’s handling.
THE BETA ROSTER · 10 ROUTES

THE BETA
First 30 riders in. No screening.
The first 30 people to finish signing up get a place, in the order they sign up. After that you join the waitlist. We don’t pick by experience or equipment. Your setup just tells us which build to send and what to support. This is an early build: visuals, routes, setup and compatibility are all still incomplete.
What you get
+Early access to real-route riding on your own setup.
+A direct line to the team. What you report decides what we fix first.
+A say in which routes get built next.
What we’ll ask
01Tell us your device and equipment so we can check your setup is covered.
02One setup session. Tell us where pairing, controls or instructions were confusing.
03Ride a route for about 20–45 minutes. If you know the place, tell us whether it feels like it.
04Look over the whole route when asked, and flag scenery or landmarks that feel wrong.
05Try a second ride later if you want to. Whether you come back tells us a lot.
06A 3–5 minute survey after riding, plus anything that stalled, crashed or didn’t save.

FAQ
Straight answers.
What is this?
An indoor cycling game built around real rides. Prepared GPS routes become rideable 3D places, and the route’s climbing shapes your effort. Ride with a supported trainer, or explore in demo mode.
How do the 30 places and the waitlist work?
The first 30 people to finish setup get a place, in the order they sign up. There’s no screening by skill or equipment. After 30, you join the waitlist and move up in order if a place opens or we add a wave.
Will my trainer work?
The game talks to trainers over standard Bluetooth (the “FTMS” smart-trainer standard), plus Bluetooth power meters, heart-rate straps and Zwift Click shifters. It doesn’t use ANT+. So far we’ve ridden it on a Wahoo KICKR CORE 2; the rest of this list comes from each maker’s published specs.
SHOULD WORK · THE HILLS SET YOUR RESISTANCE
- Wahoo KICKR, KICKR CORE / CORE 2, KICKR MOVE, KICKR ROLLR, KICKR Bike (recent firmware)
- Tacx NEO 3M, NEO Bike Plus, Flux S / Flux 2, Flow Smart
- Zwift Hub Classic / Hub One, Zwift Ride (use a Zwift Click to shift)
- Elite Direto, Suito, Justo, Avanti, Zumo, Tuo
- Saris H3, JetBlack Victory / Volt, Magene T600, Stages SB20, Wattbike Atom and Proton, Van Rysel D100 / D500
POWER ONLY · YOU TURN THE RESISTANCE
- Any basic trainer or spin bike with a Bluetooth power meter
- Keiser M3i with Keiser’s converter
NOT SURE YET · HELP US TEST THESE
Got something from the last list? Join anyway. Put the exact model in the trainer box when you sign up. Those are the setups we most want tested.- Peloton Bike / Bike+ with a FitSwitch adapter (a Peloton on its own doesn’t send standard Bluetooth power)
- Tacx NEO, NEO 2, NEO 2T
- Schwinn IC4 / Bowflex C6
- Wahoo KICKR SNAP, Tacx Vortex Smart, first-generation Wattbike Atom, Thinkrider
Which platforms can I play on?
Windows PC, Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad. Tell us your device when you sign up and we’ll send the right build.
How do I get the build?
We email instructions for the device you picked when that build is ready: TestFlight on iPhone and iPad, a Play testing track on Android, and a versioned download link on PC. Then open the game and link it at saddleout.com/link.
Can I suggest a route?
Yes. After you sign up you can send one GPX and a few details about why it matters. We may try to build it and will tell you if we do, but there’s no guarantee it gets made.
What device data do you collect?
Your signup answers only, until you say otherwise. Before the app sends any diagnostics, it asks first and explains what’s recorded: device model and OS, app version, performance, crashes and stalls, and trainer or controller connection events. Diagnostics never include your FIT files or GPS tracks. You can switch them off or withdraw at any time.
